i see we are coming up to 6000 members anyone know how many surf's are in the UK
having owned one for just over 12 months i have noticed there is hardly a day goes by without seeing one on the road i live in a small village and there is 4 here, none of which are members on here.
so if only 1 in every 5 are on here then i guess the number could be as much as 25000.
thats a lot of recycled jap waste we have recycled
god we are good for the planet, keep it up

There must be getting on for 25,000. They outnumber the Frontera in Luton now and they were built here. Vauxhall workers used to get them dirt cheap so they looked like they were a popular motor.

I got a smile and a wave back from a family in a Surf on Leagrave High St. No forum sticker though. Come to think of it, I don't have a forum sticker. Not since my windscreen broke a year last August.

I`ve seen 1 uk surf and 1 spanish surf here on the costa del sol. tell ya what tho the spanish dont look after their cars, was in a right state the one i saw, its a ****** crime and waste of a good truck.

Remember that not all of the 6000 still have surfs or even post on here anymore.... Still they are a lot more popular now, which is good when you are a surf mechanic... and when you want parts....

And I have Two as well so at that rate if every member as two motors we have 50% of the UK vehicle parc that aint bad going

With that many menbers, what we need now is some forum Tee shirts? should raise enough to cover the running costs for a while.

or there's a company called Hotline will do Tshirts, polo shirts, fleeces and overalls in any mix once you have the initial design done - works out dead cheap if you can get a few done.

Yep thats what I fancy, that's why i mentioned it. I am now too fat to get into the last pair I stole when i was still 'on the tools', and I now need a decent set. Every real man needs a set of overalls. or at least some workpants with a long spanner pocket on the leg.

Anyway, have a look at this link. i think if we get 50 items in total we could do a fair viariety of clothes quite cheap all with the same logo. the question is WHAT COLOUR?

Yeah, I could go for a set of overalls - mine are now a water proof fire hazzard due to the amount of stuff that as be spilt on them over the years!

When I got my first surf I was the only person on the estate with one. two days later my neighbours went out and got one.

Now I have 2, next door has one, and their are another six! within 1000 yards!

Heaven for parts........... :-)
