I have not been able to thread my MIG welder from the feed end for some time as the liner was damaged. I took it apart today and discovered that the bit you thread the wire through looks like net curtain wire. Went to Homebase and bought 3M of their finest, cut the white plastic covering off and replaced it with heat-shrinks sleeving. I now have a servicable welder which I mended for just £2.80. I gave the inside of the curtain wire a good spray with that silicone dry lube spray to keep the rust at bay.
