  • Torsion bars and springs

I'm thinking of fitting some aftermarket Torsion bars and springs to my truck. With a 2" lift on both.

What are the best ones to go for? Who has the best reputation for quality etc?

Would my drive train be ok lifting the truck 2" front and rear, as I don't want to start stressing the props and drive shafts.

    Cheers.

Roughtrax sell the Explorer gear which is good as i have the ES3000 shocks. But, the rear springs are still not uprated and will sag with a small amount of weight int the back etc

I also thought, whats the point in putting uprated torsion bars in if the rear springs are not uprated only set at a standard rating????

By the way, how does your truck handle with the new bars???

Just roughly measured my trucks poise, with a tape measure.

            Roughly
Front N/S from top of rim to base of wheel arch 13 1/4"

            Front O/S 13"

            Rear N/S 12 1/2"

            Rear O/S 12"

Does anyone know what the measurements should be as standard?

Is the rear and front supposed to be the same level all round, or should the rear be higher than the front, or the front higher than the rear???
