Had 31x10x15 BFG AT's, pretty good, then changed to 31x10x15 MT's. No competition the MT's beat the AT's all round, off roading & on road, especially in the wet they were great. Hard to believe seing as AT's are 50/50 and the MT's 80/20 but better in the wet they were.
Say not always what you know, but always know what you say.

No- you'll need some lifting, maybe it's the excuse you need to do a lift?

I think the BFG Altika was a winter tyre. Not sure if they still make it cos I can't find it on any of their websites, can't even find much on google. I'm guessing yours would be quite old by now. If they're anything like the other brands of winter tyres that Surfs usually get shipped over from Japan with, then you will be better off ditching them and getting new tyres. Winter tyres are rubbish over here on wet tarmac, and if the tyres are old and/or have been standing for a long time they will deteriorate and go out of round.
