  • New wheels and tyres!!

Woo hoo!! Got my new tyres fitted today... Well chunky!!

I got some used, but perfectly reasonable 16" rims on e-bay last week, but they had silly road based tyres on! WHY?!?!

Anyway, 265 70 16 sounded like a good size, so they went on to check they didn't rub. All ok for a few days, so off I go to my local friendly tyre shop to price up the options. Decide on a nice new set of General Grabber AT2's, which they had to order in for me..

That was Monday, and today I went back and got em fitted!!

They looked flippin huge sat in a pile in the garage, and they still look pretty huge on the truck!! They even have little holes pre-drilled in the tyres so they can accept screw in ice studs!!! Where can I buy them???

No pics yet, but I'll be out with the camera tomorrow, all being well..

    The truck's slowly growing..
    It just does, OK?

              Very Nice.

I think the whole thing would look better if you lost the side steps though?

If I took the side steps off, my wife wouldn't be able to get in to drive me home from the pub!

I am contemplating sliders, with detachable steps, possibly..
