Hi,
Just wondered if there was a list of the obvious stuff to check when going to view a 3.0td '95 surf?
Cheers

Hi,
As well as the usual used car checks find out when the timing belt was replaced, make sure you got the tabs still in place to open the back seats (which then means you can make sure you got the jack and the rod for it,both of which lurk under the seats), make sure all the windows go up and down smoothly (the rear window has been know to be sticky).
If you can find some ground with a likelyhood of loose grip then try out the 4 wheel drive (see here too) for tips on 4wd
Check if it still has the Jap rubber on, if so you might want to budget for replacing them, well you can leave em on but you might find it's a slippery drive .
If it still has a jap radio then do yourself a favour and get that replaced, a band expander will not give you the range a UK radio has.
Make sure you have a decent alarm / immobiliser fitted too - to keep mr insurance man happy.
cheers folks i'll have a good ole read later.
No confirmed history of cambelt so i'm guna get that & full service done ASAP just to be on safe side (previous owner apparently said it had been done but well no p/w talk is cheap.... lol)
