  • problem with a joint

Hi ,today I had 4 tyres fitted , Fulda ( made by Goodyear?)@ a reasonable price.
When the tyre bloke was putting the front driver side tyre back on
he noticed quite a bit of up and down 'play' on the wheel, as opposed
to side to side. Can anyone tell me the problem? Is the ball joint on the way out? Is this hard to rectify and costly?

Nah, joints are easy, 4 bolts in the body, then a ball joint seperater gets it out the tapered bit out..

I'd put a bar securely though the top arm, and jacks (or blocks) either side to over come the torsion bar pushing the arms down and making getting the new joints in difficult.

You can get them from Milners next day.
