  • Call out for help with some diesel engine pics and facts...

Hey all! I writing to you from the U.S. - I've been a lurker of this site for a while but haven't posted.

I was considering a diesel engine swap into my 1993 4Runner (my 3.0L Petrol died), but the regulations in my state (Pennsylvania) made it nearly impossible to do. Long story made short, I'm in the process of swapping in a Toyota 1UZFE (4.0L Petrol V8).

I'm currrently working on a writeup for the engine swap and wanted to include some information on the various diesel options available. I am limiting my writings to the 6 cylinder diesels.

I was hoping some of the members could help me with the facts in my writeup and also provide a couple of engine pictures (looking for 800 x 600 res.). I wanted to include the 6 cylinder engines from the KZN130 and KZN185 as well as a few others available in Land Cruisers abroad.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Link to the site (still in the works) Select "Engine" from the links on the left to view what I have so far.

That's just what I was looking for. Guess I assumed by the power output that they were 6 cyl. Thanks for the info!!

I still need some good images - the ones on that site are so-so at best...

Sure is! Wow! Long time no chat!! I hope all is well with you.

I'm putting together a writeup on my engine swap and thought this was the place to go to get some diesel engine bay pics. I have the pics of a 1HD-FT, and 1HZ already, just need a good shot of a 1KZ-TE.

I'm not swapping in a diesel unfortuantely, but wanted to post some info about it. The writeup is coming along: http://rigs.corequipment.com/cebby_site/engine.htm

I have a good thread going on Yotatech about the swap: http://www.yotatech.com/showthread.p...1&page=1&pp=25

Thanks Trev - is there an engine under there?

If it's OK with you I'd like to use this one on my writeup for now (until you can break out the hose...)
