Successful Towing Trip
Had to tow two horses and all their gear up to Newcastle from Southampton at the weekend 350 miles each way. 
Was really worried that the surf wouldn't cope especially after I worked out the weight must have been neering 1800kg, but didn't have a problem at all. Did the entire trip in 8 hours including 4 breaks.
You don't realise how long and steep some hills are until you've got a weight behind you, and the A34 is a real killer.
TonyN fitted an additional auto box oil cooler for me when he replaced my head, and the temp was perfect all the way up. Even when I had to lock it in 2nd and rev the t*ts out of it @ 3500 revs for about a mile.
Anybody thinking about towing, this is definately the mod to do.
