Brake fluid sensor

This morning I finally disconnected my brake fluid sensor because I got fed up of seeing the light coming on? Is there another way round this? I read somewhere that you give something a sharp tap but what exactly do I hit?
Also, is there anything (other than brake fluid level) that I need to be careful of if the lead stays disconnected?

Only the obvious! If you have your warning sensor bypassed, its wise to have a luk under the bonnet at the level in the res from time to time.

My light glows on the dash for much of the time but I have learned to live with it. In fact, it kinda grows on you....................would probably miss it if it were not there now.
