tickover rpm

  • tickover rpm

    can anyone tell me what my tickover rpm should be on my 3rd gen. think its a bit low as there is quite alot of vibration at tickover. if mine is a bit low how do i increase it?

    mine ticks over at about 800 rpm

      2nd gen 800..........
      Somebody(I think it was one of my scottish brothers in the heelands) did a write up on adjusting the tickover..........try a search

        mine went weird yesterday and was idling at 250rpm.... cold!
        after a mile or so it was ok again and not done it since

          mine sits nice & steady at about 825rpm

            My 2nd gen 3.0 ticks over at 700 rpm with a little vibration.

            The idle-up button takes this to about 1250 where it's smooth, but what do you expect from a 750cc/pot engine?. Especially a direct injection diesel?
