there you have it.thats a 3.5 litre p6 engine thats had a 5 litre stroker kit fitted,were talking shot peened,fully lightened and balanced and cross bolted bottom end,with alloy con rods,power max pistons,tvr griffin heads that have been gas flowed,ported and polished,with big valves and double springs,roller rockers,crane cam,duplex timing gear,composite head gaskets,offy dual plane inlet manifold with matched ports,holly 390 race carb with mech secondaries,with uprated power jets,mallory ignition,then all that exits through two four branch ex manifold down to two 3" collectors then into a two box 2" stainless system.with laughing gas on tap.

rather than try and mate the surf auto box to your nice 'little' motor...
try this...

Use a yank auto box, and mate that to your transfer case... it may be easier in the long run, as you'll be using fairly standard parts rather than custom bits...
