  • Brake Disc removal

Hi, I need to get front discs and pads changed on my 4runner,the garage I use asked if the hub assembly has to be removed to take off the brake disc to give them an idea of how long it should take. I am not sure as I hav'nt a decent workshop manual and I did'nt want to take a wheel off to find out. Can anyone tell me if the hub will need to be removed? Thanks

Yes, You need to remove the caliper, undo the drive flange and wheel bearing, then you can unbolt the disc from the hub.

Thanks Tony, The garage can allow a bit more time now to change discs as they thought they may have to.

Luckily I know the garage owner and he has a few Toyota's himself so I know my truck and wallet are in good hands!
