Off for looks, On for protection.

definately on - mainly for protection...started to take mine off but then realised it would be the sill that would get the punishment unless I put sliders on.

Today I replaced my steering link that I bent on the mud run in August . The one Tony gave me is thinner in diameter than the old one . But at least now the front wheels point in the right direction .

When I was down at Tony and Linda's place we discussed this, and after I got back home I decided to take them off (the side steps that is).

Was a bit weird at frist - like Pops says she looked a little naked!!!

But the look has really grown on me and without the sidesteps the ground clearance looks awesome.

That said, there's always the issue of protection like Bushwhacker says.

What I'd thought about was trying to get a stainless pipe to run where the side step used to. I figure that if it was well mounted, it would:

              - Look good
              - Still emphasize the ground clearance
              - And, protect the sides when off-roading.

              Anyone seen anything like this??

All you need now is phsycotheripy to to get you your mind to point in the same direction and physiotheripy to straighten your body.

Just think about it, you can eat loads and not put on any weight, well until you take the belt off.
