Quote: We consider these aligations as a slight on our family & the way we live our lives and will be DEMANDING an apology off the instigator, otherwise we are going to seek legal advice & sue the complaintant for slander and defamation of character

Is it possible to get the details of the complainant? Let me know if it is, I still would like to know ours! Have a feeling its the neighbour with a daughter (who doesnt even live there) who lets her 2 boys play in glass in her mothers garden and now just had another baby to drain the benefit system with her new boyfriend.

Btw not even suggesting you're at fault , just reassure yourself with evidence which you can use as a defence if it was ever needed. I have 2 video tapes in the bottom of a drawer and a diary to match, never played again, 2 weeks worth of everytime both of us left the property my dogs were like lil'lambs. Just wrote to my officer now though demanding to know the complainant, cross fingers...

Oh dear! think the understanding was lost here... oh well

Yep, but raises the point in a way I suppose, my other next door had a peekinese that yapped for 2-3 years the first time we moved in.. for the sake of just living next door thought it best to just grin and bear it, plus I was working, so mind on other things. I appreciate both sides to the argument therefore, AGAIN, it is important to get to the bottom of it.. malicious or otherwise, mediation is needed. (We dont hear the dog anymore either due to old age or they have learned to shut it up).

We have a couple locally that run a home for elderly dogs. They take the ones that wouldn't normally get re-homed. They have been looking after dogs for over thirty years. Last year a neighbour lodged a complaint with the council about excessive barking. They kept a diary of their own and the only time the dogs barked was when Environmental Health Officers or some other stranger knocked on the door. The incidences where the knock at the door set the dogs barking was included in the evidence given to the local magistrates. Despite nearly 300 near neighbours signing a petition and affidavit stating that they rarely hear the dogs bark, the couple have beens served notice, that if their dogs are heard barking, they will be taken to court. All this trouble because of one miserable git.

Another case going on locally is about a kids playground. It doesn't belong to the council and fulfulled the dying wish of an old chap who lived locally. He left some money for some swings and slides to be erected on a piece of waste ground at the back of the houses . A new couple moved in and claimed that the swings were an invasion of their privacy because, if the kids stand up and swing on them, they can see into their garden. The council immediately removed them, despite the protests of people who have lived there for years and will not now put them back for fear that they will be liable if a child gets injured while palying on them.
Oh, I forgot to mention, the swings were there for fifteen years before the new couple moved into the street. I just can't understand why some people are so miserable. I would rather hear the fun noise of kids playing than enjoy the silence in the knowlege that they could be somewhere else and up to no good.
                  It's only a hobby!

Well we have now moved to peaceful & tranquil place. Its great to get a good nights sleep, The BROTHEL at the top of our road was doing my head in.
Cars parking across the drive by slappers who couldnt see or understand why i had an H painted across it. The owner a proper plonker thought he owned the place with his rented house & his dodgy Merc. (ringer)
