  • 4x4 fault!!

Today as it was cold surf started sound on 20% veg .

On the way home from work, I put the beast into low range just to make sure everything was ok.
Now what i notice when putting her into low range the '4WD' automatic came on.
May be i pressed it by mistake. I put it into 'N' and tryed again. and still the '4WD' came on.
In Hi range you have to press the button, then it engages 4x4.
Ive never noticed this before and a bit concerned i have an electric fault..
    Can anyone please advise?
    thanks,, MIKE....

Just don't use it in 4*4 on tarmac unless you've got a 3rd Gen.

I keep forgetting to switch off 4WD when I come off our field parking/track and onto the lane, haven't gone that far or fast....what will it do?

The trasmission will wind up. Could be very costly, but as you only just left the field the wheels would probably still have a bit of slipage 'cos of the mud.

Thanks for the advice. It's the best car ive had so far. Carn't wait to test it off road. MY DAD HAS A LANDROVER & HIS MATES are 'Landrover lovers' Ha Ha(im embarrassed). Need to put them to shame..
              Thanks again
