I think his website is having probs . When I first started dealing with Stuart the site was not working right then . His phone number is 01937 835227 .

He will give you first class service , unlike Explorer who failed to help . Mention the forum as he wants to know where the business is coming from so he can develop his buisness further .

I got the shocks for the wifes suzi so the price will be diferent but the postage was £7.50

the link didnt work when Rick (Vagrant no2) posted it but it will work if you type in the url but its not very useful.Just give him a ring..

Anybody know how to put procomp 2000 steering damper together? its the right size but the linkage is confusing to a ficcy like me.

Cheers Andy that helps a lot the only thing is that its going on the wifes suzi but I surpose it will fit moer or less in the same place.
The original one is fitted onto the pitman arm (I think) then to the front x member, but I will work it out..at least Delboy got instructions with his.
Am I right in thinking that I can put the damper on either the tie rod or drag rod and it will stiil work,or must it go where the original damper came from?

RICK, while you're there... do us a favour.. does she have power steering? and if not, does having the damper removed make it any easier to steer??
or completely bugger up the straight lineyness of it?
just that mine's REALLY heavy steering, even on gravel (probably cos of SPOA) just though i might chuck damper away.... mind you, it looks more like a teabag!
nee nar nee nar, i'm a fire engine!

As for the steering damper making the steering heavy if you got the original bike pump sized one fitted then it should be ok and not heavy unless it is bent
or messed up inside,or the steering box may need some oil in it or the thead screw is to tight,(undo the locking nut and back off the screw no than a 1/4 turn at a time and see if that makes it easier) All the damper does is take out the shimmy (rhino central words) in steering when on the road and slows down the steering wheel movement when off road to stop you breaking your wrist,so taking it out should not be too much of a worry as long as you know its NOT there.I will let you know the out come cos me is fitting the procomp 2000 damper today (thats the heavy duty one) and oh boy is Angie gonna areobic workout when she drives it cos i am expecting the steering to be a wee bit stiffer???

Well they are all fitted now and I'm not saying the shocks were knackered but I recon that bunny is now at least 1" higher now and the steering damper was easy to fit. infact it all went a little too well so I an expecting a bad day tomorrow. the steering isnt as heavy as I thought it was going to be and it dont wander now.
