Easy People - I don't want this thread to turn into a " Drive / Dont Drive , Sandle wearing Vegi eating , don't kill the seals , im choking on monoxide,soil errosion on byways , 4x4 kill kids" type debate .


Just spreading the word of a different option we may have ..... count to 10 ....and relax !

Well I don't see the harm - If it does mean we could eventually get cheaper prices im up for i!! - I have a bike and do use it occasionally (when to drunk) but i find the surf much more enjoyable (and less energetic!)

In theory it looks plausible, but I can't see fuel suppliers wanting to earn less just to please the consumer. They know that we can't do with out their product, so I can see becoming a bidding war which will push the prices up anyway. Sorry to be pedantic about it, but it's the taxes we need to get reduced, not the fuel producers.

To be honest I dont like your tone, nor do I like your original remarks about a car being a luxury, if, like me you live in the middle of nowhere a car is a must, no buses here. I am certainly not cycling 24 miles to get the shopping or 10 miles to get to work. If this group of people can get cheaper fuel and it costs nothing to join whats your problem ?

if you go to the phillipeans you can see how they do it
record we saw 12 on a honda 90 with sidecar!!!!!!!!!!!
over 30 on a jeepney!

Hey how YOU doin, your right in some respects, We got a good bus service in the daytime, every 10 min, Its after teatime it all seems to fall apart, I use the bus
every fri night (to go on the lash) Its every 30 mins in the evening, Twice its
left me stranded in portsmouth (coming home) and three times hasent turned up going, There also not much use if you want to nip up B&Qs for a bag of
sand, So theres times to use busses and times to use the motor, Just wish
they'd improve the evening service, Ian

hehehe!!... excellent!... i type in a tone!... the point is, if you didn't have the luxury of a car, then you'd either be out of a job or HAVE to cycle 10 miles every day!


hate the late night bus thing!... if we go out to town (for a night out) then we either have to leave at 11:30pm to get the train, or pay £50 for a taxi! (it's too far to walk drunk!)... things like this that get my back up... the local cinema was a good example... no-one used it and now it's gone, everyone (newcomers especially) want a new one!... i can see that lasting 5 mins before being turned into a new gym for the "vodaclones"

i earn a good wage, but i can't afford housing in my home town and i don't have money to throw around... the car's a luxury and to go to the shops / pub / train etc. then i walk or use my bike.
i've always done that... i had to walk or cycle 3 miles everyday to school when i was younger... kids are lost without a lift from mummy these days!... but parents are too namby pamby to let them out on their own!
