I don't suppose anyone has a spare wheel spacer kicking about? I only need one and can't justify the 50 quid for a set.It's for the rear mounted tyre before you ask.

You could run some nuts down each bolt to push the wheel away from the backplate

I thought of that Rick,but i don't think it will leave enough thread to secure the spare,don't want it dropping off on the M1.
