  • 4 wheel drive

i have a 3rd gen and know that an advantage they have over 2nd gens is that you can run them in 4 wheel drive on the road. is it safe to use the 4 wheel drive all the time in bad weather or should you revert back to 2 wheel drive after a certain amount of time. also is it safe to be in 4 wheel drive on the motorway at 80mph.
by the way, had me surf since july and its been a gem.
people are asking me why i am permanantly smilling.

Just as safe at all speeds, just at 80mph in 4wd expect to burn a lot of fuel !!!!

        Just another thought-
My 4wd will not engage above 60mph, it makes a bell ringing sort of noise?
So it needs to be engaged at slow speeds, possibly to avoid damage?
