Gas Oil - quick question...

Back at my local biodiesel station this morning, I noticed they had a pump selling Gas Oil....59.9 ppl.

Can it be used in an unmodified kzn130 ?

What is this stuff ?

gas oil is red diesel....will work fine but if your cought your in the sh1t

tis used by farmers and plant...

Thats all I need to know....however, this station seems to be located in city...no where near any farms....59.9 - I think its intended for taxi drivers....

the use of red diesel is permitted in agricultural and industrial plant only

any vehicle on a public highway must use white.

can be used in heating systems for the home and generators and such like

But will Surfs run ok on it? is is basically the same as white only dyed?

your surf will run happily on it....infact any diesel will run on it...the penalties if caught would be costly,

the dye in the diesel will stain your fuel pump , injectors etc..

TBH - my interest lies with Veg oil for the environment. there is a huge case for employing it as opposed to mineral. Brazil leads the world in biofuels and uses some 40 percent biofuels these days...their governent supports sugar cane ethanol.....The only reason I'm thinking of gas oil is coz it was there on the forecourt...

And the pressure of my new work commute distance of course...but if its red - I'm not interested. no sense in offending the law is there ?
