  • Fog Lights, Spot Lights & Driving Lights

Just been looking at the website below, and am trying to work out what the difference is between the 3 types of light.

    Mini Sport

I have seen on the forum about the legal implications of having spot lights, but are there any problems with having fog or driving lights fitted?

What is the difference between Fogs, Spots and Driving lights?

    Thanks
    Dave

Fog lights are just extra lighting so that you can be seen more easily in er...Fog!
Spotlights are a focused beam of light so YOU can see things.
Driving lights are similar to spotlights, but provide a much more 'spread' of light, rather than a 'pencil' beam.

Another way of putting it is,
Fog- A low wide spread of light to prevent reflective glare from fog
Driving- Directed light to the near side to illuminate the road
Spot- Narrow beam light to highlight bunnys and aid in aiming
RoboSpot- A remote controlled light mounted on the top of the vehical to illuminate the little buggers at the side of the car
Light house- Big tall thing near the sea
      Flashing Blue Light- Oh Bugger!
