  • OT- Music Visulizations

You've all seen the cr*ppy music visulization (moving graphics to music) supplied with MS Windows Media Player? If you've got a fast computer try this.....

    1) Go to Winamp and download their latest MP3 player software if you haven't already got it:

    http://www.winamp.com

    2) Download the Milkdrop visulization plugin here:

    http://www.winamp.com/plugins/details.php?id=62202

    3) Configure the Milkdrop Pluggin to run at the highest resolution, greatest number of colours and highest frame refresh rate your computer can 'cope' with! I'm running it 75 frames/sec, 1024 x 768 pixels and 16M colours on a 2.8GHz PC.

The effects are visually quite stunning/mesmorising- and get better after a few beers! If you've a DLP or LCD projector even better!!!

I off to watch some music.....

I've always loved winamp and have to agree that the Milkdrop plugin is one of the best for visualization. I usually pump it out via a Domino 20 to a 6' screen after an evening at the pub - spin spin sugar!

Another cool plugin is the MSN Current Playing Song one. It allows your windows messenger contacts to see what you're currently listening to. You can learn a lot about people this way
