  • help fixing "A" bar to surf please?

Having recent acquired an "A" bar for my surf I am a little perplexed as to how it attaches to the underneath. Can anyone help me please with instructions? I have the mounting brackets attached to the "A" bar and these in turn are attached to the bar but I can't seem to see where they attach to the ubderside of the truck. Do I need bolts for this or are ther already there somewhere? If bolts are required, what size do I need and where do they fit into to hold the bar in place?

Give us a clue with what Surf you've got?

And what type of A Bar you've bought...
    It just does, OK?

You can't fit an A bar to your surf, its the wrong colour!
You need to give it to me to put out of harms way!
Look into my eyes, only the eyes

Hang on a bit and I will post a pic of where the fixing points are.
They are 14mm heads, but I don't know what size threads the bolts are.

If you get no joy here. Pop into a Toyota main dealer. They have the thing on their computer in an exploded view. I've got one fitted, but no digital camera to take pics, sorry.

If it is a standard A bar and going onto a Surf that is a K plate, like mine.
It fixes on the two holes just above the tow hooks.

Or, if it's a 'J' plate like mine, there will be another two holes the same as those on the opposite side .

But if you have a '89 Fiesta, it won't fit.

I got two more holes as well you know!
Just thought it would confuse people if I put this on!

If you fitted spot lights on, I suppose you could use them as revering lights!

These are photo's of the front of my Surf, taken at 23.02 today to aid in the questions of our fellow surfer (who has my A bar!)
It is the front of my nearly rebuilt baby.
That is the front bumper you can see.
                      It is a K reg
It is burgundie, brugandy, dark red in color.
It is my bank, cos most of my money is held in it now!

You have to be sick in the first place in order to to get better!
Laugh!!! I nearly bought my own beer.
