    just out of interest if one was after more power from a 3.0td apart from
    buying the intercooler version how could one tweak the engines performance,what have some of you guys done
    hey just got a new 30 td surf all the gadgets 1997 metallic black niceeeeeeeeee

    I think we discussed this a while back,
    there are many options, chipping from 330/125 to 480/200, (watch the gearbox fall apart) then Performance exhaust, K&N filters, high lift cam, porting, gas flowing, fitting an intercooler, upping the turbo, fitting water mister to the inlet etc.
    Just it does pay to remember that the most expensive option is always to try to make a slow car faster, buying a fast car is far far cheaper.

      there might be something in the pipeline soon...

      someone has contacts with a specialist diesel tuner and they're working on somethibg together...

            i wont be blowing cash on performance improvements,like you said its cheaper to buy a fast car in the first place.quite happy with surf already.
            wwas just curious .
            i fell into that money pit b4 when i was younger blow thousanda on a citroen ,big cam race head,twin 40 webber
            it was fast but not worth the expense

                  I agree with the notion to, buy a Mazda Rotary to go fast and keep the surf for practicality
