Last Wednesday I had a call from the tesco, they said if I wanted to contest the estimate of the value, then I should submit a hard copy of evidence.
They will send that off to the engineer to reassess their valuation.
On Thursday I was told that I had accepted their offer and needed to remove my car from the garage, or incur storage costs.
On Friday I received a cheque for £1700, this is the value of the car minus my £300 excess.
I have lost my no claims, now down to 3 years, as I did have nearly 7, but they cant count to numbers above 5.
And my premium is going to go up due to having made a claim.
There is no mention of the other person admitting liability. But their Solicitors who are claiming for a hire car have not said anything as of yet.
If they don't admit liability, I am faced with the bill for the hire of a Mitsu L200 @ £3120!
I only have the hire car for 14 days, but I think I might stick it on EBay now!
Why do I bother with insurance?
Why do they call the shots?
Why don't they listen when I complain?
    What's it all about Alfie?

And my surf is still bo***xed!

Exactly, so the Surf can't be that badly damaged.

Oh , I thought Tesco had written it off. I see you got the panel beating equipment ready.

Asked advice from the Doctor, he said, make sure you use a new disk and don't leave it outside over night.
                  He also mentioned,
But before we use any power tools, a note about safety
Be sure to read and understand all the instructions that come with your power tools.
Knowing how to use your power tools correctly can reduce the risk of personal injury.
And there is no more important safety device than these,
                  Safety glases.

I would hold repair untill valuation is sorted, they might want to see it again. If you are confidant that it is the other party's fault you can use the small claims court to sue.
Did I mention I have a BLUE one

I can handle the garden bench with built in planters, but wood glue don't stick cars back together!
Could use my biscuit joiner, then cut a rabbit down the wing or something!
