  • European tour

    Hi Guys,

I'm taking the Surf on a European drive through Holland, Germany and Switzerland. I've never driven my own car on the continent before so am unsure of what I need to do.
I think I need a Safety Triangle and a First Aid Kit. Is there anything else? Also what adjustment do I need to make to the head lights?
Any advise would be greatly appreciated.

    Many Thanks
    Andy

Personally I'd carry a spare set of fan belts and a spare top and bottom rad hose. Plus for the headlights just get one of those stick on beam deflector kits from Halfords.

Some countries (can't remember which off-hand) require you to carry a full set of spare bulbs for the exterior lights.

Also in some countries you have to carry a set of replacement light bulbs for the front and rear of the vehicle.
Oh and you drive on the wrong side over there.

Deffo, it's 49 quid to top up my breakdown cover. I think I'll be doing that.
