                        Chillitt, don't take afence mate (or more likely a SHED)!!! SAN is just part of the customary Japanese greeting you would give anyone - it's not like sir in English.

                          You can see how much safety design has come on in 30 years or so from those photo's though. The orange Jiangling is probably based on MK1 4Runner designs (though the chassis isn't up to much) and dates from the late 1970's. The Rodeo/Frontera fares a little better- but the 21st century Toerag has loads more design & technolgy put into passenger safety- and it shows.

                          A Mk2 Surf in such an impact would be similar to the Rodeo/Frontera.
