And there is nothing wrong with 2.4's... some judicious work, and they are pokey enough. No 3.0ltr, but pokey enough.

To be perfectly honest, I've got the fast car, I just need it to be able to do 70-85 on a motorway, and tow about 1100kgs.

It'd be useful if it can safely negotiate tractors, too, but the HGV's seem to manage, so i guess a surf should be able to as well!

As long as it's auto, air-conditioned and safe-of-head, I'll be happy, to be honest!

Well having spent most of the day considering it, I've decided to go for a 2.4 with a new head. I dont actually *need* the extra power, and the money saved can go towards the car it is destined to tow.

            See the wanted forum!!

<- See that..huh? huh? do ya?

              I've got a surf, and a membership!!

Mahoosive thanks to Nigel for selling me such a Surf!! And for the blue star beneath my name!

Taking a while to get used to an entirely different way of driving...and planning extra time for getting to places...but lordy its relaxing!!

Guess I'd better start looking at the meets calendar....
