  • Noisy Wind Deflector

Finally got myself a Surf ( 96 3.0 SSRX, light blue ). Its great. One small problem though, its fitted with a sunroof wind deflector which vibrates at around 60mph depending on the wind conditions. This results in a drumming noise which can stopped by cracking open the sunroof.Presumably this balances out the air pressure above and below the deflector. Has anyone else had this problem and found a cure.

A mate of mine had the same problem, to what you're describing, he cured it by sticking some of that stick on draught excluder, the brown robber kind, along the lip of the deflector so as the air rushes over it it has to go over the rubber strip, thus breaking up the air flow.
