  • Waxoyling!

After having done the body lift I can see loads of areas that got missed last time the Surf was Waxoyled. So I've jet washed the underside this lunchtime. Hopefully it will be dry by tomorrow as it's hot this afternoon. Tomorrow is forecast as another scorcher- so the ideal Waxoyling day.

Got to be done this weekend as the drive's being block paved on Monday. Don't think it'd go down well with the missus if I got Waxoyle all over it....

        wax on wax off

Noticed a few spots of surface rust on mine the other day while taking the side steps off (rear supports rusted through due to sea water)

so biting the bullet & doing mine tommorrow as well
just finished pressure washing it, should be dry by tommorow.

Only problem is i had drive blockpaved 3weeks ago
Lawn still needs replacing though (definitley after tommorrow)

Hi m8, I bought myself a cheap tarp to lay out first (used it for all sorts of Surf jobs, so it paid for itself several times over) - did the job real nice, not a spot of waxoyl on the drive.

However, was distracted by missus, and started to pump the waxoyl gun up on the patio only to discover that I'd forgotten to put the gun on the end of the pipe - doh bugg@!! Picture this - despite trying to put my finger over the end, which was a complete waste of time, in fact it probably made things worse, I got black waxoyl everywhere - all over patio, patio furniture and me!!!

Scrubbed for about two hours, used pressure washer, all sorts of detergents and even Gunk engine grease removal stuff. Most of it's off now, but you can still see the faint marks - will be in dog house for ages!

Foiled.....came home Saturday afternoon and found Paddy & his mates had already started digging two days early! Just 4 foot hight pile of mud where my drive was.

Maybe I should have an off-road day on my drive?

Hey, Chillitt, you can't palm that one off on me! You're the one that's obsessed with sheds!!!

I'm only obsessed with their content - and in a way that your fault too!

How can you expect to have a signature that says, and I quote: "...it's in me shed..." and not arose curiosity!?!? Put another way, after seeing that loads of times, I just 'as to know: what is in 'is shed!!!!

p.s. Full title of nednil please - not to be abbreviated to Ned (sounds like someone off the archers). To be honest I hate my user name, and have discussed havin it changed with TonyN - all it is is my surname backwards - was the best I could come up with at the time - now I seem to be lumbered with it!
