  • Insuring a Surf!

    Hi Guys and Gals,
I am about to buy a Surf but I am finding it really hard to locate an insurance company that will actually insure me. I am 30 years old so I can't see why it's a problem. Can anyone guide me to a suitable insurance company.
    Cheers
    Windsurfer

p.s. I cannot wait to start pimping my ride!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

p.p.s Any advice on a sensible quote for a 30 yr old male, no points and 3 yrs no claims? Thanks again, will post pictures once I have my ride!

shop around - do a search on here for insurance and try lifesure, Adrian Flux and tesco (depends on who you talk to here though).

Insurance wise I went with A-Plan imports, I am 26 and have 3 points but it was still less than £400.

What mods are you planning to do to pimp your surf?

Nothing too hectic, I like clear lenses, big ass bull bars, some chrome spinners and a pumpin' sound system. Other than that, I will wait to see the interior. I have test driven a ssr g 3rd gen (n plate) that's only done 50000 miles. I've just got to sell my stupid BMW and then I shall definitely have one, they are so cool and will fit in all of my surfing/windsurfing equipment! I do not know why I ever bought a soft top!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Cheers for the insurance advice e

All sounds like a good idea (well, all except the spinners IMO ).
If you like your windsurfing/surfing you couldn't have a better vehicle; Last time I went to the coast I managed to get 3 people, a windsurfer, surf board, boogie board and all our camping gear inside the truck. You'll love it!
