Surf won't let me have the key back

Has anyone also got this problem. Just lately when I switch the engine off the key will not turn any further than the AUX position so it can not be removed. I have to press the little red button, fiddle about with the gear selector and pressing the brake pedal to get it to release and even this is not sucessful every time. On a couple of occassions I have had to leave the key in. (Thankful for the immobiliser even though it is a pain most of the time)

I am sure it just wants to drive an drive an drive.

I had the same problem when I first got my truck.
The cure was some spray lubricant in the ignition through the key hole.

i had the same prob,but i found that knocking the gear shift in and out of park did the trick.
