  • Roof Bar lights - What do you think ?

Just fitted my Universal Roof Bar from Direct4x4.co.uk and 4 x 55W Ring spotlamps . ( someone tell me if I can uprate the bulbs easily ?)

A little wonkey at the moment as not tightend all the bolts , and not done wiring yet , but take a look , and see what you think ???

I had to bend the fitments for the roofbar into some interesting shapes to get them to fit nicely , but its on now and doesnt force the door seal open ! Had a quick drive up the road , and no wind noise from them , so all good so far, Off to get some relays tommorow.

    Cheers

      Looks good mate.
You can upgrade your bulbs if your wiring is up to it and a have a relay.
I did the same for some reversing lights.

it's possible to have cooling issues with up rated lamps... the fittings made specifically for higher wattage lamps have vents and some you can't leave on while you're not moving!

(all a bit "northern" tat like that!)

I've done the same and have 100w lamps in mine. No probs, but used two relays and some 4 core flex to wire them. Spreads the load nicely. Placed mine under the bar so they dont get bent when driving the lanes.

Yeah wanted to mount mine underneath , will have to fabricate some brackets , but not sure if they will fit under or not the actual bar is quite wide. will have to get a tape measure out !

            Off to buy 2 x 30amp relays then + 4 x 100 Watt bulbs ! Ta very much !
