    This may, to those in the know, seem a daft question, but how do you know if your surf is 1st 2nd 3rd generation. mine is a 1993 KZN130 with a 1KZ-TE under the lid also a big thanks to those who helped with my tracking prob

      First gen isnt a classic, its just suffering from a temporal defferal from main stream popularity.

          In answer to your question, 3rd Gen is 1996 on (and much more plastic!!), yours is 2nd Gen. 1st Gen is up to around 1990 (not sure of exact date).

            Yours is a 4runner (with a saggy bum)

            They do have a flux capacitor but they are run on gold pressed latinum and not dylithium crystals....
