been to truckfest... ate burgers, drank beer, got sunburn, let Linda blow my horn!.... here's some pics
(didn't really appreciate monster trucks before (80's spec ones!)... although this was just demonstration, it was AWESOME!... 1500-2000 horse power, injured drivers and welsh dragon breaking his shocks at £1000 a piece!)

p.s. the matching DAFs, mine's on the right and has a "Slug Man" plate in the window.... gis' a wave!

What did you guys think of the hilux's and surf's? There were a couple on display. We should all take ours down next year.

The guy who got third in best mural..rich paterson/shrek,the blue scania above, is a mate of mine, used to live next door to me.

Purple Nasty is ok - but suffered a bit as I saw it right after Swampthing and bigfoot!, I hated the black pimp mobile... poor ickle car, the red 2.4 was ok, but needed much bigger tyres to be a proper offroader.

                  Needed Drivers truck there!!

those fellas are so committed... i got up at 8 on saturday morning and they were all out polishing trucks... up until about lunchtime... then it rained overnight and they all did it over again!... every part you could imagine was polished!... and they're (mostly) working trucks covering 60-100,000km a year!

and the air brushed paint work was awesome!

and where do the monster truck drivers get their cash?? swamp thing had a racing chevy style engine (1700hp i think) and he spent $50,000 on it!

Why do you think it costs £15 a person to get in.

thought that was the 56 yard to the gallon fuel consumption!
