Got a nice letter from Essex Police today... 40 in a 30

The thing is it doesnt tell me the fine/points I will get... I assume they will tell me this once I give them my info and confirm I was driving?
Also how can I tell if it was a mobile of fixed camera site?

I got one of those the other day from manchester police I think, only thing was it was my name and address but some other car and registration that I have never heard or or owned!!! I called them up and they just told me to send it back (as if this sort of thing happens all the time!)

If the letter says the allegation can be supported with photographic evidence, ask to see it before you do anything else.

Might be worth checking your speedo isnt under-reading. They sometimes do after conversion to mph when the needle is put back slightly in the wrong place.

@tony yes its nice now but the offence is unfortunately when they were still seized... i was towing too!!! - the exhaust started ratlling but will sort that soon
@exmee46 now I have my gps I know my speedo os off - 33 on the clock is 40mph in real life... my excuse is the faster I go the more accurate it gets!
@bushwacker there is a nice pic of me already so tossed it bak in the post and expect another sp30 with £60 and 3 points
