ticking air conditioning

when i switch on the air-con, at random intervals i get a ticking noise
any ideas?

theres a chap on the site called aircondoc hes not on line at the mo but may be able to help keep an eye out for him coming on line

cant be certain, but you aircon may be empty and the AC Unit is cutting out. If you swicth the air con on, you should be able to see a little glass-eye behind the front-grille and if it's bubbling then your air-con possibly needs refilling.

Does it work? Could be the unit getting cold and contracting, bit like your central heating ticks as it gets hot...............maybe?

Hey, mine 'clicks' to, but always works 100%.

Worth knowing the answer as it goes in for a huge service when I back from Italy in a few weeks time!

On mine it seems to be coming from the glove box.

on mine it seems to come from behind the stereo.
