  • Blowing!

Is it a sign of engine wear if you have "blowing" from the engine oil filler cap when off at tickover? Stupidly, i thought not when i went to top up the oil, and got a good spraying. Is this a problem? (nothing DAZ can't fix!!)

    um... how much?

always sprays a bit out cos the cams spinning just under the cap so it flicks oil up...
best to put oil in with engine off so you can check the level anyway!

      pressure

mmmm well do yaself a favour and check all of the engine breather pipes its a common thing if one is blocked or twisted to cause pressure in the crankcase . wich causes the oil to spray from the filler cap . ive had this a couple of times . crankcase compression
