    having not yet been up close and personal with a 3rd gen can anyone tell me how different the rear light cluster shape and fixings are pics would be ideal

    the only difference i know is that mine takes wedge bulbs and the 2nd gen has a bayonnette fitting.

    to remove, you have to open the tailgate and undo the 2 screws, then push the cluster towards the outside of the vehicle and it comes free.

    in the pic the screws are to the left of the cluster.
    in the second pic you can see the pins and locating holes which they fit into.

      Only difference I know about is that Dabigman's 3rd gen has wedge bulbs and my 2nd Gen has bayonet bulbs...

        thanks i will strip mine out this weekend and have a good look against pics, if the fixings are the same i am going to order some altezza ones only listings i can find are for 3rd gen so if the bulb holders fix to the cluster the same or in a way that i can combine then i am going to be a very happy bunny

            If the Altezza's fit how about a link to the supplier, would quite like them myself

              I dont think that you will be able to fit them , not without cutting a load of metal , completely different shape at the top , 2nd gen are more square and flush .

                  When I looked into this, the only Altezza's I could find were in the US, (which is no problem) but I was told by the sellers that 3rd gen would not fit second gen. Also, the American lights do not have amber indicators,they use red. You can get clear tail lights for a second gen and fit amber bulbs. Any info on a UK supplier with UK spec lights would be great.
