Is it possible engine swap out

I have 3 Hilux's
1. 2001 Surf SSRG (automatic)
2. 2001 Pickup (automatic 4x4)
3. 2000 Surf SSRX-Limited (automatic)

My question is this My pickup engine is dead, can I swap out the standard pickup engine & just buy a top of the line Surf engine 4x4, 2000-2001 and drop it in ?

If so what is the top of the line Surf engine 4x4 to get ?

Also are their any Hilux Pickup forums like this on the net ?

Sorry, stuff that new is out of my experiance, but if you have the ECU for the engine your putting in, and the transmissions the same it should work.

Look at 4x4wire and Yotatech in the US for newer Toy pickup stuff.
