  • got some veg oil so going to give it ago

got 9 litres of veg oil to start with,
going to get hold of form to declare tax/duty

i dont suppose there is any reason why I cannot underestimate how much i bought when filling in the forms.. as there is no way the concentration in tank is tested and then matched up to how much diesel put in and how much oil purchased?

been searching on here and confused by duty thing
      i.e. 27 duty or 47 p per litre duty
i've read of people getting inspections who pay the 27 p duty on the permise that the manufacture the fuel,
but if you just pour it into tank of car youre meant to pay 47p per litre duty?

                  Problem solved

If someone emails me copy of form ex103, as stupidly can't find mine, will tell you how to fill it in to get 27.1p duty not 47p. Also if been charged 47p it can be reversed. fuelcat@btconnect.com

has anyone on here who pays 27ppl tax ever had their premises inspected?
for supposedly manufactuering the fuel - when they just pour it in the car?

                    sent you a form Philip

47p tax on a litre of oil that costs 46p a litre even 27p is over 50% taxation, oh well at least we,re helping the enviroment which is obviously more than those in power are doing

I think Chunkymonkey had his garage inspected, so that he could produce bio fuel.

Yep! When I initially registered C&E came round to have a look at my set up - although all that actually happened was they sat in my lounge a I pointed out which car on the street was mine... they weren't interested in actually having a look under the hood - or in my garage. That was 3 years ago - when less people were doing it...
