  • Oil Gauge

Could someone tell me what the oil gauge should rest at when warm at tick over? Mine seems on the low side even though the engine oil is half way on dipstick? She blows no smoke and has plenty of grunt!
So many questions to ask have I as i'm still a newbie. Cheers

The oil gauge does not measure how much oil is in the sump like other vehicles. What you will notice is that the gauge actual reads the oil pressure. I generally have the oil gauge at halfway under normal-heavy load.
