Performance Chip ????

Hello Folks,

Just been browsing ebay and came across item no. 4548868845 described as a "Performance Chip" for a Surf. Does anyone know anything about this ?

Like; Does it work ?
Is it safe, mechanically ?
Has anyone got one, if so what exactly are the advantages ?
It says that it is suitable for all surfs, is that true ?

The seller claims that it simply fits on the inlet air sensor, sounds easy enough to fit.

Without even looking i'd guess that is just a chip that tricks the engine and tells it its cold all the time and so will shovel in more fuel. Save your money mate.

That will make it smoke due to over fuelling then you can pay £6.50 for a ball bearing to cure it. Watch out for the shysters!
