I dont known about a diesel but in a petrol, if you go to the better feul you need to reset the car computer otherwise it makes no difference.
My mate has a skyline and another a scooby and both only use shell optimax however if the ever fill up with 95ron fuel (by mistake or if nothing else is possible) then they have to disconnect the battery and leave the car for 10 mins before running it back on optimax so that the computer starts over.
Anyone tried something similar with diesels?
I tried optimax for a couple of tanks and generally found I got about 5-10miles more out of a tank, (less than 2-5% improvement) so did not think it was worth it, and the hassle with the battery made it a waste of time for me!!!
