Rear windscreen wiper

Hi all, could someone let me know where I can get a rear windscreen wiper for my 1995 3.0 Surf, I have searched Halfords (Useless as usual) and other motor spares shops, I even bought an insert but guess what... its incompatible,the thing that makes it different is the bracket which holds it onto the arm its "L" shaped and held on by two screws. I gave the bracket and old arm to a mate (who is usually quite good) to drill it out and so fit a standard wiper arm, but he #****d it up and its knackered now, silly niggly little thing I know but I am fed up with not being able to see out of the rear screen whan it rains.

I wanted one for mine recently, but couldn't find one..

I ended up just buying a replacement rubber, and fitting that. Was quite easy actually, but it sounds like that isn't an option now your mate's had a go!!!

I think roughtrax sell them.about a tenner,they do mail order.

genuine toyota one £13 with arm and all the fittings and the bracket to ensure it lifts clear of the rear window. usually 2 days from order to delivery

Was quoted £18 +VAT and 7 days for delivery from Toyota dealer, this was just for the wiper. Rip off merchants!!!!

I bought a Non-Genuine one a while a go and it never lifted off the window, causing a real pain in the backside!

So I Bite the Bullett and splashed out for a genuine one and I have never had a problem since!

So in my view it is better to pay the extra and get the REAL McCoy!!

Speaking of wipers my rear has seemingly sorted itself mate so I prob wont need the arm, thanks anyway.

I had same problem.
Halfords 14" replacement blade did not fit arm
Went to WKB ( Toyota agent ) in Waterlooville and they took the old arm from me, found a longer blade (28") , cut it & fitted it for £5.
also gave me the other 14" of the longer blade for next time I need to change it.
Also gave me free coffee whilst i waited !

Front wiper problem

Can anyone help me regarding my front wiper which doesn't return to original position? It stops vertically instead of horizontal.

have you set the wiper to the original position and then it goes back to where it was.If so then i would say the wiper mech is shagged and you need another.
maybe from one of the guys breaking one in the parts for sale section
