  • Autoglass/Windscreen/'96 3rd Gen

    Just ordered a windscreen from Autoglass, and emphasized over and over again that its a '96 3rd gen.

    Spoke to the woman , who said, yes they replace these all the time???? and have no trouble getting them in stock..............

    should I be worried

    paid £60 on the excess...................comin g Thursday afternoon

      They came out to mine with a HIACE windscreen i was none to pleased.

        Make sure the tint is right the screens the same as a late pickup but they are only avalible in green or blue tint my Surfs Bronze tint so are most of the others i've seen

              i got mine fitted no worries... he took a while cos he had to take quite a bit of trim off (wipers, air vents etc) but sorted and no problems!and it was only 50 quid on insurance!!

                here we go , just had a message from autoglass...."er, we're having problems trying to locate a glass from Toyota because its an import"

                Could you please go out in the !!!!ing freezing rain and try to read your vin plate.

                and I !!!!!! forwarned them that they would need to check

                  the thot plickens, "sorry, we're having trouble getting the screen because its an import, Toyota have told us thay must import one from Japan, it'll be here Friday......hopefully" " Can we cancel the appointment please"

                      well, nearly two weeks later, and just had the screen fitted by autoglass. Very helpful guy who did it on his own, and told me it was one of the easiest screens to fit, and took about 3/4 hour.

                      Just for the record, it states on the invoice that the screen is for LN130 '93 onwards, and mine is a KZN185 '96, so they must cover a wide range.

                        In that case it would be the same as a UK 4Runner there shouldn't have been any problem.
