          Propane

Anyone using or know someone using LPG can get pumps for Propane, then cost is only 27p per liter plus tax of course.

thought as it's pressurised in the bottle it wouldn't need a pump?... just a pressure regulator/reducer???

As far as i know you need pump. Older pumps are hand pumps. OK if you need the exercise. I could stand corrected.

The system you're putting it in is pressurised, it'll just stay in the tank, you can heat the propane bottle, to overcome the pressure in the cars tank, but only if your stupid!!!!!!

(I know people who do it!!!! Go visit them when they are filling their cars!!)

Yup, its LPG (Liquified Petrolium Gas), it stays liquified untill the pressure is released. It gets vapourised in the vaporiser (sic!) in the engine bay near the intake.

ah, right... not like the stuff that works the gas cooker which is released from the bottle as a gas.

Its the same, its liquid in the bottle/pipes, the cooker hob releases the LPG at the burner in to air, so it turns into a gas, burns and cooks your food.

Or in some cases, it cooks, then burns your food.

wait while i push my specs back!... it vaporises in the bottle, that's why you have to keep it upright... or with the arrow pointing up on a forklift...
it's liquid, right enough, but as the pressure reduces, more vaporises... i'm rubbish at explaining stuff!
