  • Ebay.HELP! HELP!

I have just been struck of off Ebay as a non paying buyer. Went to collect 5 items i won, but the main one was nothing like picture on page. Cost £599
To cut long story short, wanted to buy other 4 things but he couldn't find them. He was supposed to call when he found them. Next thing is i have now 5 unpaid strikes and this is after countless emails to Ebay telling them i want to buy the other 4 items.
The question is is there anyone on Forum who can find out The addressof Ebay in Richmond upon Thames. Post code is TW9 1TX as if i do not get this sorted i will sue them for defamation of character, as now the whole world thinks i am a bad payer, which is totally untrue.
Won't ramble on, but a bit upset at present.
    Thanks Philip
    Still Searching,
    Dick Whittington

Hi Philip, would it not be easier just to create a new profile using another email address and start again than to go through all the hassle of trying to track down the corporation. Or is it a matter of principal.

          Reports are that it sucks!

Seems to be true, Philip has tried but its just automated B/S.

It's not right, but I'd think about what Malenibo said, if you can live with it, start again from fresh.

We'll help you build up feedback, sell the same stuff back and forth to a few forum members!!!

That really annoys me actually - an honest person getting struck off when they are trying to sort the problem out. I recently caught someone who has been repeatedly bidding on their own sales using another account - reported to ebay and all they get is a warning! And now I have bad feedback becuase they obviously returned the favour of my (justified) bad feedback.

Anyway, rant over, back to business, dunno what channels you been going through but try sending an email to: ukrswebhelp@ebay.com
Thats the one I been using and I have had replies from humans within a day or so of each email. Worth a try maybe?

                  Thanks Everyone Especially marky.

Firstly its a matter of principal, as you say in the end can do it with wifes email address etc, but why should i. Atleast i got a laugh. Thanks marky. Unfortunately second laugh of the day. I grow Bonzais as a hobby, not to energetic watching trees grow. This morning, i cut back my small oak tree, as no leaves had developed. My sister in law, who is staying with ussaw me do this. During the day she and a couple of decorater friends who are working on our house decided to stick some leaves on it. My wife kept saying, aren't you going to take the dogs out. On going downstairs from my office, i looked out of the kitchen window and saw the tree with some small leaves. Couldn't beleive i had such green fingers. On going out to the garden, it was only then i discovered that i had been done. They were all laughing in the kitchen. First practical joke played on me for years.
                  Nice one sister in law.

My brother has been struck off because his credit card expired and the new one got lost in the post. Despite loads of calls/emails/faxes/letters to the credit card company and to eBay to explain things and arrange to pay another way. The robots have taken over the world!
                      It's only a hobby!

Exactly the same (more or less) has happened to me .. the solution is to reregister under a different user name and password, with a different email address (I used a Hotmail one) let them take your credit card details for ID verification and off you go again.Strangely,EBay are obviously quite happy to let you buy and sell under a new ID,even though they know who you really are by the credit card verification process - very odd !
Anyway I have gone from a seriously negative rating before to a new fantastic positive one in one week !
Many people have had the problem of not being able to contact anybody - this of course is deliberate EBay policy !

I suppose thats what i will have to do, in a few days, but since my last post, have got managing directors number in Richmond on Thames. Have spoken to someone there who i hope is helping me. Also no within 2-3 buildings where they are, which is only 15 minutes from me, so any one got a sandwich board???? Its the principal, about the way they act. I may send them the cash for the four items in dispute and tell them to pay the seller, who now doesn't want to sell to me.
Also noticed as i can not get on site i can not see exactly how much the 4 items i wanted are now.
Watch this space!! Not letting the B"""""s get of with this one.

I was very angry too when I had the probs with them last year;arrogant and dictatorial would not adequately describe their attitude towards their clients.Buts that,s the way it is .. I suppose that to a very large degree the site is meant to be self regulating .. trouble is it does not always work .. at my age I was able to shrug my shoulders and walk away .. mind you .. so saying I did,nt use them for along time afterwards .. not that that would bother them much I guess ! Anyway good luck !
