  • Electric window modification

    Hi all,
Anyone done a modification to their electric windows that allows them all (rear included) to move without the key in the ingnition?

Does anyone have a good quality wiring diagram for all of the electric windows? I'm an electrician and can work out how to do it and will report back with pics when complete.

    Thanks.

    Wouldn't that drain the battery?

Are these any good to you - there for 4Runner but there can't be that much difference between 4Runner and Surf. (all built in same factory etc)

        Electric window modification

Thanks SilverSurfer, they are exactly what I am after.

To answer the previous question I have just installed an N70Z 700CCA battery as the main battery and a Duel Battery controller, http://www.gsl.com.au/products/ebi.shtml, so now have a very powerful main battery to start the car and a second battery to run all of the electrical accessories, which will include the windows, power outlets, CB, Computer(for GPS), fridge, camp lights and anything else we need when camping in the Australian outback.

In Australia 4WD's are used mainly for touring the great Australian outback, camping and fishing holidays. So our vehicles are set up to make us self sufficient for 2-3 weeks at a time. There are many outback tracks that require a range in excess of 900km (560 miles) between fuel stops.

I'll be fitting a 130ltr sub fuel tank in the coming weeks.
